Hint is a creative agency founded in 2006. We have partnered with Nike, Fender, Backcountry, Cotopaxi, American Eagle Outfitters, Aerie, DC Shoes, Skullcandy, GNC, Museum of Arts and Design, Harvard University, HSN, 1-800 Contacts, Rodan + Fields and more.
We are a multi-disciplinary team of visual designers, art directors, and brand strategists. We are collaborative, flexible, responsive, passionate and grounded in purpose.
Our portfolio includes identity systems, books, catalogs, brochures, magazines, annual reports, commercials, web sites, packaging and advertising.
We are built on the idea that little things can have a big impact. That every interaction and every experience at every touch point, is an opportunity to communicate the brand personality and reinforce the brand promise. CHRISTIAN HANSEN / Principal | Creative Director
With over 18 years of design and art direction experience in apparel, beauty, resort and institutional brands. Christian blends simplicity and substance to create, enhance and evolve brands.
Christian has led projects for Aerie, American Eagle Outfitters, DC Shoes, Sundance Resort, GNC, HSN, 1800 Contacts, Rodan + Fields, and Skullcandy. His award winning work has been recognized in, Communication Arts, Print Regional Design Annual, One Show, AIGA 100 and Type Directors Club.
This office DJ enjoys movies, snow skiing, hiking, art and photography and regular trips to NYC, SF and Hawaii. Currently, he spends his evenings watching his favorite shows and charming his leading lady.
ARLO VANCE / Digital Design Director
Arlo holds a BFA in Graphic Design and specializes in branding and design for print and digital media. Throughout his career he has worked on projects for clients such as 3Form, American Eagle, Aerie, DC Shoes, Verizon and more. Recently Arlo has led digital projects for American Heart Association, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, United Way, The Juilliard School and Harvard University.
Arlo’s work has been awarded and featured by local to international publications and exhibits including the AIGA 100 Show (2007-2014), Type Director’s Club, Print Magazine, Communication Arts, Graphis and Rockport Publishers. He is the current President of AIGA Salt Lake, a local chapter of AIGA, the Professional Association for Design.
Arlo is an avid reader and writer, a self proclaimed foodie with a green thumb. In his free time, he creates custom fonts and is known locally as a ‘font guru’.
ANALISA ESTRADA / Art Director
A devoted student of all, Analisa draws inspiration from her clients. Your passion becomes hers as she strives to create a fresh, genuine and engaging image for your brand.
Analisa’s past experience includes both in-house and agency. She has worked with clients such as Intel, Rio Tinto, 3form, 1-800 Contacts, Luxottica and Deseret Book. Her work has been recognized by Communication Arts, Print Magazine and AIGA.
Analisa’s after-work life is filled with husband, son and puppy time, as well as community outreach, fixing up her midcentury home, and filling a group Etsy shop with lovely paper products.
CINTHYA LOPEZ / Art Director
Cinthya is passionate about establishing meaning in every design. She strives to live by her favorite quote “Design is thinking made visual” —Saul Bass.
She has lived and worked professionally in both the United States and Mexico on projects and clients such as Martha Stewart Weddings, Esquire Magazine, HSN, Rodan + Fields, Jouany Perfumes, and DC Shoes.
Cinthya’s publishing house and creative agency experience have molded her into a unique vibrant designer. Her work has been recognized professionally by Graphis, Communication Arts, and AIGA.
When Cinthya is not creating, the best part of her day is spent enjoying play time with her two bambinos, tracking down her favorite taco truck, or curling up to a good movie.
WAYNE MOOREHEAD / Brand Strategist
Wayne brings deep experience in marketing and brand strategy to Hint. He has applied his expertise and passion for branding to help companies (from startups to Fortune 100) define and communicate their brands.
With both Agency and Client side experience, Wayne is able to bring a unique perspective and actionable insights to every project.
Prior to joining Hint Wayne was CMO for a large, “publicly traded” natural supplement company. He has also been a brand strategist at a New York based creative agency, as well as Senior Vice President of Marketing for an INC 500 company where he was instrumental in building their billion-dollar brand. He holds an MBA from the Marriott School of Business.
ANNABELLE MCCONACHIE / Director of Client Services
Annabelle has 10 years experience in client services. Originally from the sunny shores of Sydney, Australia, Annabelle began her career working within the client service division for the global advertising firm Young & Rubicam. Annabelle then found herself in the vibrant city of London, where she gained international experience working with small and large advertising and creative agencies. She worked on both local and global accounts such as Land Rover, Range Rover, Dell, The Guardian, BBC, and The City of London.
Annabelle believes strong client relationships are core to a successful agency. She loves a challenge and has always strived to work with passionate people who really love what they do.
Outside of work you’ll find her on the mountain, in the sea or on an air plane searching out her next big adventure. Or you may find her enjoying some nice french cheese while listening to her favorite music.
CHARLOTTE JARRARD / Project Manager
Charlotte’s passion for arts and design began in London where she earned a BA Honours in Drama from the University of Exeter. Her infectious personality and disarming British charm are a product of her dream to entertain.
She began her career in her home town of London and eventually made her way to the US where she has worked as an office and studio manager, producer, and account manager. She has worked with clients in the music, food & drink, finance, healthcare, and outdoor sectors.
As a Board Member for the Salt Lake chapter of AIGA, the nation’s largest design non-profit, she partnered with many other local non-profit organizations to direct, coordinate, and manage Salt Lake Design Week, Utah’s largest design-centric event, for two years.
You’ll often find her obsessively creating pasta dishes, training her cats, singing along with Stevie Wonder, hiking her favorite trail, or imposing British comedies on friends.
Emily Ludlow / Designer
For Emily, good design is derived from a full life– a vast well of collected experience always yields fresh results.
Emily holds a BFA in Graphic Design and received a minor in art history, a combination of creative studies that often influences her design. She has worked with clients such as Martha Stewart Living, Macy’s, Brigham Young University, and Fender. Her work has been recognized by Graphis and The American Advertising Federation.
Emily spends her free time painting, biking with her dog, eating Kolaches, and exploring small towns with her husband.
