OVERVIEW

Hint is a creative agency founded in 2006. We are small but mighty with a consumer focus on branding, identity, packaging, campaigns and digital across health and wellness, lifestyle, food and beverage brands. We have worked for some of the most well-known brands to young upstarts. Nike, Fender, Aerie, American Eagle Outfitters, Cotopaxi, Backcountry, DC, Skullcandy, Museum of Arts and Design, The Grand America Hotels & Resorts, Rodan + Fields, Epicure, Babe Original, and You & Yours.

We are a multi-disciplinary team of visual designers, art directors and brand strategists. We are collaborative, flexible, responsive, passionate and grounded in purpose.

Our portfolio includes identity systems, books, catalogs, brochures, magazines, annual reports, commercials, web sites, packaging and advertising.

PHILOSOPHY

We are built on the idea that little things can have a big impact. That every interaction and every experience at every touch point, is an opportunity to communicate the brand personality and reinforce the brand promise. Whenever a brand is rooted in a strategic insight the brand visuals, voice, and experiences invest the brand with meaning and purpose.

PROCESS

Our network and collaborative process sets us apart and makes us nimble. Each project gets its own purpose-built team - exactly the right size with exactly the right expertise. Collaborating with your team, we discover and define the opportunities and brand objectives. We then build and execute a plan to achieve those objectives. Our process consists of 3 phases:

PHASE 1:
Discovery & Planning

The first phase of our process sets the standard from which all creative is measured.

PHASE 2:
Definition & Design

The second phase sets the creative process in motion, developing ideas that solve the criteria defined in phase one.

PHASE 3:
Production & Execution

The third phase is more than just following the creative blueprint set in phase two. It is where true craftsmanship carefully transforms ideas into reality.

MORGAN SHREENAN / Designer

Morgan’s affinity for design stems from her love of concept-driven thinking and beautiful things. She strives to discover the best creative solution for each client, because good design is not a one-size fits all. She is inspired to find new and surprising ideas by Milton Glaser, who said, “If you perceive the universe as being a universe of abundance, then it will be. … There are enough ideas in the universe and enough nourishment.” Morgan holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University. Prior to her career at Hint, she has worked in-house with E.L.F. Cosmetics and BYU Broadcasting. On the weekends, you can find Morgan capturing her memories on disposable cameras, going out for ice cream and dreaming of the day she can finally have a dog.

KATE CORKUM / Account Manager

Kate is inspired by the potential that art and advertising have to shift culture. She has over 15 years of both in-house and agency production, account, and team management experience, and has worked with clients such as Nike, Sephora, Estee Lauder, and GAP. Kate is driven by the gratifying experience of taking the passions inside of clients’ organizations and sharing them with the world in impactful ways. A product of growing up playing team sports, she loves a collaborative effort executed with efficiency and an outcome that everyone can celebrate. Outside of the studio you can find her planning her next beach vacation or road trip, hosting small dinner parties for friends in her backyard, or hiking with her dogs (Carwash, Ellie and Nico).

COLE MELANSON / Designer

From an early age Cole showed an appetite for all things creative. Mentored in the trade by his accomplished designer father, Cole frequented trips to art museums, took art and drawing classes, and participated in and won design competitions. Design thinking that solves problems and communicates a brand’s big ideas is one of his favorite aspects of what it means to be a designer. Cole holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University. During his college career he received numerous design competition awards and practical experience as a freelance and on-campus designer. Prior to his career at Hint, he worked in-house at BYU and Southern Virginia University. In addition to design he is a passionate tie-dyer, amateur film photographer, and a kinetic mobile sculptor. When not designing, you can find Cole with his wonderful wife improving their home with thrifted vintage furniture or doing their best to get their money’s worth out of their Annual National Park Pass.

JASMINE ROTH / Designer Partner

Jasmine’s passion for design is founded in the idea that timeless design principles, combined with innovative thinking creates the most meaningful solutions. She is driven by her a favorite quote by Bradford Shellhammer— “Originality, beauty, aesthetics–these are needed, but I am much more interested in the problem design solves and more importantly the people’s whose lives are changed, even if just a little.” Jasmine holds a BFA in Graphic Design.  She has worked with a variety of clients such as Elite Leather Company, Sonic Drive In, You & Your’s Italian Spirits, DUX beds and Pinhole Press. When Jasmine is away from work, you can find her either immersed in a book; perhaps training for a half marathon, or trying out a new recipe from Bon Appetit.

EMILY LUDLOW / Designer Partner

For Emily, good design is derived from a full life– a vast well of collected experience always yields fresh results. Emily holds a BFA in Graphic Design and received a minor in art history, a combination of creative studies that often influences her design. She has worked with clients such as Martha Stewart Living, Macy’s, Brigham Young University, and Fender. Her work has been recognized by Graphis and The American Advertising Federation. Emily spends her free time painting, biking with her dog, eating Kolaches, and exploring small towns with her husband.
