Specifically designed for the European market, the DC Shoes Euro brochure was created to help tell the DC origin story, highlight their artist collaboration programs and introduce their sponsored athletes.
DC asked Hint Creative to design a limited edition kit which included a t-shirt and shoes for the launch of Rob Dyrdek’s signature shoe the RD1 Mid. These limited edition kits went out to DC VIPs to jump-start the conversation around the shoe launch. A custom canvas compartmentalized box was created to house the shoes and t-shirt. The simplistic minimal art direction showcased fine production details incorporating magnetized clasps and foil stamping to create a signature box.
To promote the launch of Rob Dyrdek’s signature shoe, Hint was given the opportunity to cover areas of LA and NYC in Dyrdek Wild Postings—increasing anticipation for the launch.
Hint designed this booklet highlighting DC Shoe’s Artist Collaboration with Groove Armada. The booklet came with the A-250 GA shoe.
DC Shoes asked Hint Creative to design their 2009 Spring and Summer footwear & apparel catalogs. Hint was challenged to create an extendable system featuring speciality production techniques that DC Catalogs has been known for in the action sports industry. Hint designed a new editorial grid with key pages, including the “Footwear Technology” spread which was featured in the July/August 2009 issue of Communication Arts.
The design focused on a modular system and grid that allowed for brand imagery, color and texture to be refreshed with each season’s footwear & apparel catalogs. The system was then turned over to DC’s talented internal team.
DC Shoes Co. is DC’s mass market product line. Hint designed the logo lockup update to help differentiate their product lines.
