The collection consists of one scent per city, beginning with St. Barthélemy and Marrakech.
Hint created a brand to embody the scents’ fusion of classic longevity and fresh modernity as well as the identities and promotional materials for first two scents.

With high-end clients including many five-star resorts in Park City Utah (Montague Deer Valley, St. Regis Deer Valley, Waldorf Astoria Park City, Stein Eriksen) and signature brands and events/venues (Sundance, Sundance Film Festival, Blue Sky Ranch, White Pine Ranch Park City) just to name a few. Decoration Inc. needed a timeless brand identity to compliment the designs their team provides.
Hint was tasked with refreshing the brand identity and applying the new look and feel to its business papers and stationery. We worked with classic, complimentary fonts with engraving print production to show precision of the typography chosen. The neutral color pallet is the perfect partner often accompanying their signature floral designs.
AIGA MW Things Not Things Poster

AIGA 100 Show Identity
Posted byThe Salt Lake City chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design, puts on the annual 100 Show, a prestigious juried competition where the year’s best design is honored and showcased at a gala. Traditionally a local studio is asked to design the identity system for the gala each year.
The Salt Lake City chapter approached Hint to design the 2009 AIGA 100 Show identity which included a logo and book representing the top 100 projects. Hint’s team used unique typographical effects to create an aesthetically interesting booklet. Local press, Mandate Press, produced the covers with unique printing techniques. A special edition poster acted as the dust jacket and a discovery element.

Ore Inc. contacted Hint to design their product catalog that tells their story of sustainability in a genuine and straight-forward way. The concept focuses on the message itself in large type with speciality printing, with all print details highlighting their expert craftsmanship.

MAD The Art of Scent: 1889-2012
Posted byThe art of scent 1889-2012 is the first major exhibition to recognize scent as a major medium of artistic creation and was featured at the Museum of Arts and Design. To match the minimally clean installation, designed by the architectural firm Diller, Scofidio + Renfro, Hint created a limited edition coffret box featuring eleven of the works exhibited in the inaugural show of the MAD Department of Olfactory Art curated by Chandler Burr. Each of the eleven scents are contained in glass vials and accompanied by a soft cover book with essays of each piece.
Luminares, 1/7 in 7 Days Poster Series
Posted byLuminares, 1/7 in the 7 days series, is inspired by map insurance lettering. The text is taken from the first few verses in Genesis on the creation, suggesting the infinite possibilities to create using Neenah paper. Luminares is hot stamped on Moondream paper, which turns translucent upon hot stamping.
