Jamberry Nails experienced explosive growth ($0-$300 Million) as a nail wrap company but wanted to expand beyond a product-based brand. They struggled to align their teams under a common vision and purpose, and needed help clearly defining, designing, and activating their brand. They engaged Hint to help do this and express their brand both visually and verbally. The result was the Jamberry brand book.
The brand book centered on the idea that everyone has a personal style, and Jamberry helps people discover and express their own personal style better than anyone.
Hint art directed and defined the key elements for their brand visuals and voice. Hint oversaw the creative for the brand book: design, art direction, editorial design, and photography. The design and photography reflects the authenticity of the refreshed brand in a clean and playful way. Throughout the book, the copy explains the brand structure in a sincere and positive voice; the design works in tandem to create a fun and inviting editorial introduction to the Jamberry brand. Hint Creative teamed up with San Francisco based photographer Robert Schlatter to develop the lifestyle photography for the book Write Your Skin a Prescription for Change. Each image highlights clinically beautiful skin and introduces the visual narrative for each chapter.
Consultants receive this business portfolio as a first point of contact and introduction to the Rodan + Fields brand. The portfolio educates new consultants on the doctors’ philosophy on skincare and how to get started in their new business.
Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields founded Rodan + Fields® Dermatologists in 2002 to extend their vision of bringing dermatology-based skin treatment to everyone. The line was originally available exclusively in department stores, then taken off shelves and brought into homes through direct sales by consultants. Hint Creative teamed up with San Francisco based photographer Robert Schlatter to develop their product brand visuals for each of the Rodan + Fields product regimens. Special attention was paid to each visual to capture subtle details embodied by each product.
Rodan + Fields products are designed to promote healthy skin from beneath the surface. Started by two physicians, the company focuses on healing patients’ skin. To assist in educating consultants and consumers in the industry, Rodan + Fields conducted a survey on beauty. Hint Creative led art direction and design of the beauty survey brochure which was printed and distributed to share the informative results.

The doctors partnered with Hint Creative to help them bring to life their vision of a skin care book containing their key insights that inspire everyday choices and treatments for your skin as you age. Write Your Skin a Prescription for Change, with Lori Bush is National Bestseller. The book was best book of the month on Amazon and has been featured in several beauty publications such as Women’s Health, Brides Magazine, Harper’s Bazar, Allure Magazine, and Real Simple Magazine.
From concept to creation Hint provided editorial design, photography art direction, photography post production, information design, and oversaw the print production process. The book is currently on its 5th edition.
Jouany Perfumes is the original creation of renowned fashion photographer Christophe Jouany, whose travels to some of the most beautiful and exotic locations in the world served as inspiration for the brand. The collection consists of one scent per city, beginning with St. Barthélemy and Marrakech.
Hint created a brand to embody the scents’ fusion of classic longevity and fresh modernity as well as the identities and promotional materials for first two scents.
